Out of the bayou country South Louisiana,
emerges a band of musicians, who recognize the healing properties of music. Like their "Traiteur" ancestors before
them, who treated with the power of faith, and prayer, they feel that with their music, they can make you forget
your problems a while and "pass a good time." Playing
a variety of Louisiana music, Treater has become one of the most popular bands in South Louisiana. In 1987 Treater
has backed up Rockin’ Sidney during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on the Burger King Stage. On April 25th
and May 1st 2003 Treater has performed for the Native American Village Jazz Festival. Treater's repertoire
include Cajun Classics like: Jolie Blon and The Back Door, Swamp Pop hits like Mathilda and Red Red Wine, Cajun Country
songs like Close Every Honky Tonk and Vier Hobo, and New Orleans classic hits like Blueberry Hill, All These Things, and It's
Raining. Zydeco hits like: Don't mess with my Toot Toot, Treater's Every Body Zydeco and Bayou Boogie. Treater has backed up Louisiana stars such as Grammy award winner: Rockin'
Sidney (Toot Toot) Gold record artists Johnnie Allan (Promise Land), and Joe Barry (I'm A Fool To Care), plus Warren
Storm, Rod Bernard, Jerry Raines, Hall of Famer Vin Bruce, Curtis Coubello, Charles Mann and Lady Esther - Queen of the
Bayou. Treater has also opened for such nationally known acts such as Jo-el Sonnier, T- Graham Brown,
John Conlee and Clay Walker. Touring the entire Gulf
Coast, the Caribbean, Canada, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan and the South Korea Tour. Treater enjoys "Treating" new
listeners.
